E-mail discussion groups offer another way to search for information on the Internet.

These groups use e-mail and not the WWW to distribute information to their subscribers.

Listserv has become a common name for e-mail discussion groups, but this is really the name of one of the software programs used to manage the lists.

There is usually a link back to an archive or you can search the discussion using the search tools available through your e-mail software.
